On June 10, 2015, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) extended the ratings of Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company (VAECO) to include the performance of maintenance on A350 and B787 aircraft. This new certification confirms VAECO is authorized to perform maintenance up to an A level check (including GE-GEnx of B787 and Rolls Royce-Trent WXB of A350) on the aforementioned aircraft. Vietnam Airlines – the national flag carrier – will receive its first A350 at the end of June and the first B787 in early July.
