We perform Base Maintenance in 06 hangars for both narrow and wide-body aircraft in accordance with the strict requirements of customers and following certification of CAAV, FAA, EASA, CAAP, SSCA… and other National authorities. For more than 40 years, with a highly experienced team, we have carried out thousands of base maintenance checks, including major SB/AD - modification campaigns and complex structural repairs for various customers.

We strive to be at the forefront of aviation technology in providing the following maintenance services

Light to heavy checks.

  • ATR42/72 Maintenance: Up to 4C (20000 flight hours) or 36000 cycles and 12 years Check;
  • A319/A320/A321 CEO & NEO Maintenance: A to C check series;
  • A330 Maintenance: Up to 8C/12Y check;
  • A350 Maintenance: Up to 2C Check;
  • B777 Maintenance: Up to 4C (24000 flight hours) and 16SC (6000 days or 32000 cycles);
  • B787 Maintenance: Up to 18000 flight hours and 6000 cycles and 3 years;

Aircraft painting.

We carry out aircraft painting services in a single painting event or as a part of maintenance checks as our customer’s request. Our highly-experienced painters and engineers utilize modern equipment and facilities. Our painting capabilities include:

  • Perform painting of aircraft exterior and interior;
  • Interior painting using water- or solvent-based paint;
  • Graphic design of aircraft livery, including decals, logos and aircraft technical markings.

Lease return check.

We have undertaken lease return checks for A320, A330, B777, and ATR72 aircraft of Vietnam Airlines and other customers, meeting demanding quality requirements from customers and lessors.

Line Maintenance

As a leading provider of line maintenance services at all airports in Vietnam, VAECO perceives every minute that an aircraft is on the ground as a loss of potential airline revenue. Our line maintenance services, therefore, focus on safety, on-time release to service and highly efficiency.

Our AOG team is ready to provide 24 hours round the clock service 365 days a year. Anytime, at any assigned airport, VAECO is ready to assist you on the recovery of your AOG aircraft by dispatching our best technical support staff, providing extensive engineering, and other support services from our main base.

With our extensive operational experience, we assure on-time delivery for a customer base of more than 70 clients by handling nearly 400 flights daily.

One of the important factors contributing to the success of VAECO is high-quality human resources. As human resources play an important and prerequisite role, VAECO must train its own human resources.

VAECO training center employs many highly skilled and professional instructors with years of teaching and practical experience in aircraft maintenance.

  • Basic Aircraft Maintenance Training for Mechanics and Avionics
  • Aircraft Type Training up to Cat B1/B2 Theoretical and Practical Part for the following types of aircraft: A350 (Trent XWB), A330 (PW4000), A320/321 (CFM56/V2500/PW1000G); B787 (GEnX), B777 (GE90/PW4000); ATR72 (PW124/127).
  • Cabin Maintenance Theoretical and Practical Part for the following types of aircraft: A320/321; A330; B777; ATR72.
  • Engine Run-Up Training Course for: A350 (Trent XWB), A330 (PW4000), A320/321 (CFM56/V2500/PW1000G); B787 (GEnX), B777 (GE90/PW4000); ATR72 (PW124/127).
  • Engine Borescope Training Course for: A350 (Trent XWB), A330 (PW4000), A320/321 (CFM56/V2500/PW1000G); B787 (GENX), B777 (GE90/PW4000); ATR72 (PW124/127).

Initial / Type rating / Recurrent / Remedial training courses for ground equipment operation and control in airport restricted area including:

Calibration and Testing Services.

Calibration Laboratories of VAECO have applied quality management system ISO/IEC 17025 and have been recognized by the Vietnam Bureau of Accreditation (BoA), coded as VILAS 018 and VILAS 299. BoA is a full member and has signed a mutual recognition agreement with ILAC-MRA, therefore Accreditation Certificates to the laboratories are accepted by all countries that have accreditation organizations that are ILAC members. We ensure that we can provide timely, quality calibration services to all type of customers: individual, companies/organizations either in or outside aviation.

  • Electrical devices: Panel meters, ammeters, ohmmeters, hertz meters, multimeters, DC/AC clamp meters, and specific equipment such as battery chargers, Magnetic Particle Inspection Machine (used in NDT) ...
  • Pressure gauges (dial indication type and digital type), pressure sensors.
  • Torque wrenches, screwdrivers, Universal torque tool, torque multiplier.
  • Hydraulic Flowmeters.

Component workshop.

As an MRO service provider achieving CAAV, FAA, EASA, ISO 9001 Certification, VAECO have Component Maintenance shops providing repair, overhaul and other services with various aircraft, engine and avionics components, turning over many parts each year for airlines.

 

Non-destructive testing.

VAECO Non-destructive Testing Centre offer high-quality, non-destructive (NDT) services to airlines, MROs and other industrial customers. We can provide all types of NDT inspection. We offer all modern processes, such as semiautomatic penetration benches, eddy current, magnetic particle test benches, and ultrasonic test methods. Our inspectors can provide development, certification, documentation, and training for the required measures.

On Dec 29, 2021, Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company - VAECO was honored to be one of the two excellent company worldwide to receive the title Best Partner of 2021 from Korean Air.

 Korean Air is the largest airlines and flag carrier of South Korea based on fleet size, international destinations and international flights. Korean Air is a loyal customer of VAECO since 2009, beginning at Noi Bai airport and expanding to other airports in Vietnam such as Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City. “This award is presented to show our appreciation to VAECO for your special effort and contribution to Korean Air at Noi Bai (HAN) airport. This achievement was possible with great relationship and a spirit of working together between VAECO and Korean Air” commented An Cheol Yong, Hanoi Station Manager, Korean Air. Participating the ceremony, Pham Minh Hiep, Executive Vice President at VAECO shared that the title is a motivation, especially in a year that aviation industry is heavy affected by Covid-19 outbreak: “It was the first time that VAECO receive this award title.
