Since 1975: A75 Aircraft maintenance center in the South, A76 Aircraft maintenance center in the North, and Vietnam Airlines Technical Department in the middle of Vietnam, provided full maintenance service to Vietnam Airlines fleet.
2006: Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company Limited (VAECO) was formed according to Prime Ministerial Dicision 1276/QĐ-TTg dated September 26, 2006 from the A75 Aircraft maintenance center, the A76 Aircraft maintenance center, and the Vietnam Airlines Technical Department in the middle of Vietnam.
2009: VAECO officially came into operation on January 1, 2009 according to AMO standards of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (approved certificate No. VN-268/CAAV)
2011: Awarded the FAR-145 repair station certificate by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
2017: Awarded the EASA part 145- maintenance organization approval certificate by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company Ltd (VAECO) is a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines JSC (VNA) with its headquarters at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi and two branches in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang city.
We are certified by the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, the US Federal Aviation Administration, the European Aviation Safety Agency, the International Civil Aviation Organization and Aviation Authorities of other nations…, We currently provide Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul services to Vietnam Airlines JSC fleet and more than 80 customers over the world.

Cabin reconfigurations and retrofit programs
VAECO has performed cabin reconfigurations and retrofit programs on Airbus wide-body and narrow-body Vietnam Airlines aircraft since we started our heavy maintenance operations in 2015. The varying extent of each reconfiguration project has tested our capability and proven our flexibility. VAECO is able to complete high-quality reconfigurations/retrofits in record time, often integrated in the downtime of a big overhaul event.

VAECO has a multi-function material support and service system containing the functions of material planning, material purchase, material receiving inspection, customs clearance, warehouse logistics, material bonded warehouse and material sales.
VAECO has warehouses for dangerous goods, chemicals, wheels, materials, tools, and mobile warehouse trucks.
VAECO provides caring, quick and reliable quality material service for our customers, on-time delivery of airworthy aircraft and material.
We perform Base Maintenance in 06 hangars for both narrow and wide-body aircraft in accordance with the strict requirements of customers and following certification of CAAV, FAA, EASA, CAAP, SSCA… and other National authorities. For more than 40 years, with a highly experienced team, we have carried out thousands of base maintenance checks, including major SB/AD - modification campaigns and complex structural repairs for various customers.

Light to heavy checks.
- ATR42/72 Maintenance: Up to 4C (20000 flight hours) or 36000 cycles and 12 years Check;
- A319/A320/A321 CEO & NEO Maintenance: A to C check series;
- A330 Maintenance: Up to 8C/12Y check;
- A350 Maintenance: Up to 2C Check;
- B777 Maintenance: Up to 4C (24000 flight hours) and 16SC (6000 days or 32000 cycles);
- B787 Maintenance: Up to 18000 flight hours and 6000 cycles and 3 years;
Aircraft painting.
We carry out aircraft painting services in a single painting event or as a part of maintenance checks as our customer’s request. Our highly-experienced painters and engineers utilize modern equipment and facilities. Our painting capabilities include:
- Perform painting of aircraft exterior and interior;
- Interior painting using water- or solvent-based paint;
- Graphic design of aircraft livery, including decals, logos and aircraft technical markings.
Lease return check.
We have undertaken lease return checks for A320, A330, B777, and ATR72 aircraft of Vietnam Airlines and other customers, meeting demanding quality requirements from customers and lessors.
As a leading provider of line maintenance services at all airports in Vietnam, VAECO perceives every minute that an aircraft is on the ground as a loss of potential airline revenue. Our line maintenance services, therefore, focus on safety, on-time release to service and highly efficiency.
Our AOG team is ready to provide 24 hours round the clock service 365 days a year. Anytime, at any assigned airport, VAECO is ready to assist you on the recovery of your AOG aircraft by dispatching our best technical support staff, providing extensive engineering, and other support services from our main base.
With our extensive operational experience, we assure on-time delivery for a customer base of more than 70 clients by handling nearly 400 flights daily.
